This three-hour workshop is for teams and managers who want to respond more confidently when someone is struggling.
It covers how to recognise warning signs, how to have a safe and supportive conversation, and what to do next - including when and how to refer to professional support.

What people say
Jake's session has equipped our team with the crucial skills needed to support clients experiencing suicidal thoughts effectively, whilst also providing strategies for maintaining their own mental wellbeing.
The day after this training, I took a call on Adviceline relevant to the training we had. My confidence in handling the call was much higher than usual - I concentrated on the tools we had been given, listening, giving hope, explaining how we could help and offering further signposting support.
The subject matter was difficult but did not at any point feel overwhelming or upsetting. The course was extremely positive and gave us practical advice to help our clients in a different way. The lived experience of the trainer was invaluable.
